Good morning all…I thought I would just let you all know what is going on and kind of do a virtual drivers meeting so we don’t have to do it in the parking lot…

We are leaving at the Bel Air parking lot at or around 9:00 so plan on being there probably around 8:45…We have ten cars going on this excursion…It is about 1 hour to the rest stop in Winters at the Arco just past the overpass on I505…There is a Starbucks and a Burger King and the Arco has restrooms as well

Since trying to keep everyone together is a bit of a problem with all the stop lights getting to the freeway (US50) and managing traffic, everyone will have instructions on how to get to the Winters rest stop…From Winters it would be a good idea if we all keep together…It is a fun road following the valley farmland, Lake Berryessa’s southern shoreline and a few wineries up into the hills above Napa…Once we get down into Napa Valley we will cross the valley and have lunch in a very iconic valley landmark drive in…We were there, at Gott’s/Taylor’s Refresher once a while back when we were waiting in line to order and up drove 2 Bugatti Veyrons…Ferraris, Lambos and whatever often show up for lunch…Driving the Bugattis were Derek Jeter and a buddy who were at Meadow Wood…Jeter was getting married that weekend…

We should be there around 11:30 which is before the lunch crowd gets there usually…The line could be long but they get food out pretty quick…After lunch we will drive north on 29 through St. Helena and on up to the Castle…Let’s park together so we can take some pictures…Our tour is scheduled for 1:30 and should last around an hour with wine tasting afterward…I have arranged to have 4 reds and two whites for tasting…

Ater the Castle, feel free to go anyway you wish back to rancho or where ever…I think some of us are staying the night…there are a few different ways to get home…Back the way we came, drive further south to take 121 which ends up in Winters or the freeway (I80) which can be backed up before the Yolo Causeway into Davis and be very frustrating and slow…We sometimes take CA12 over to Rio Vista but the back up in Rio Vista can get really long also getting across the bridge…
